GIVING weekend

Giving Weekend - July 26-28, 2024

Giving Weekend is a special time in July for alumni, parents, students, families, neighbors, artistic teams, and staff to come together with the shared goal of bridging the gap between where we are and where we need to be. Your generosity doesn’t just fill financial holes; it bridges the gap between uncertainty and stability, ensuring our staff can focus on what they do best: guiding and mentoring students towards their brightest futures. Every student has a light inside them – help us help them Shine Bright!

Shine Bright With Us this Giving Weekend!

We’re seeking a benevolent donor to partner with us in matching donations. Your support will not only double the impact of every contribution but also empower young talents to shine brightly on stage. Let’s cultivate creativity, confidence, and character in our youth through the magic of theater. Will you be the guiding light that amplifies the impact of giving to First Act Theatre Arts?

Join us and let’s make dreams take center stage!

When we come together to give, we have the power to transform: transform student lives, families, and our greater community – by providing access to quality theatrical arts education and participation regardless of financial situation.

What is First Act KC Giving Weekend?
A special weekend in July for alumni, parents, students, families, neighbors, artistic teams, and staff to come together for 24 hours with the shared goal of building and expanding the First Act Theatre Arts Scholarship Funds. We believe the transformative benefits of the theatrical arts should be available to any student regardless of their ability to pay. First Act KC is dedicated to helping any student who desires to participate in classes, camps, and productions regardless of their ability to pay.

How Does First Act KC Giving Weekend work?
Giving Day will begin as the curtain rises on the High School Master Camp Production of Curtains on Friday, July 26th at 7pm and will end as the curtain closes on the production Sunday, July 28th. From curtain up on Friday, to curtain close on Sunday, our goal is to raise $15,000 for First Act KC through individual gifts and our Monthly Donor Program.

How Can I Participate?
It’s easy! July 26th through the 28th, make your tax-deductible donation to First Act Theatre Arts securely through our website right here. You are also welcome to mail a check to First Act KC (6800 W. 153rd St., Overland Park, KS 66223), but please make sure it reaches us before Sunday, July 28th.
