Urinetown Director's Letter

Welcome to Urinetown—a musical that’s as bold, bizarre, and bitingly funny today as it was when it first hit the stage. On the surface, it’s a satirical comedy about a dystopian city where a water shortage has led to a ban on private toilets. But dig a little deeper, and you’ll find that Urinetown is a razor-sharp commentary on power, privilege, capitalism, and the cost of revolution.

Urinetown Artistic Team

What makes Urinetown so compelling—and so fun—is that it refuses to take itself too seriously while tackling very serious issues. It’s a show that constantly winks at the audience, reminding us that we are watching a musical, complete with toe-tapping numbers, romantic subplots, and over-the-top melodrama. But it also challenges us to think about our systems, our leaders, and even our own roles in society.

Ultimately, Urinetown is a celebration of theater’s power to provoke, entertain, and unsettle—all at the same time. We’ve embraced the absurdity, leaned into the irony, and, above all, tried to honor the spirit of a show that dares to ask: What if the world really did run out of something as simple—and essential—as a place to pee?

Thank you to the cast and crew for their incredible work to bring this production to life! Andrew would like to thank his beautiful wife, Jana, and amazing son, Arlo, for their love and support. Now sit back, relax, hold your pee, and enjoy Urinetown!

Mary Poppins Director’s Letter

Mary Poppins is a story both enduring and beloved by so many the world over. I personally remember watching an old worn-out VHS every time I was sick and home from school. It was a balm and made me feel so comforted. Seeing Julie Andrews guide this family to better understanding that their value didn't lay in what they could bring to the household, but in who they were and how they could love each other through all things.

The Dining Room Director’s Letter

The Dining Room is a tapestry of moments, a collection of seconds that make life what it is —small, intimate vignettes that together paint a portrait of WASPs (white Anglo-Saxon Protestants) from the 1920s through the 1980s. Each scene introduces us to a different family, a different generation, and a different turning point. But one constant remains: their gathering place. The dining room.
