VOCAL STUDIO CLASSES
Vocal Privates + Studio Hour
Private Vocal Lessons (+Studio) (Ages 12-18) - Private Lessons at Arranged Times + Studio Hour Sunday (1/14, 1/28, 3/10, 3/24) from 2:30-4:00 PM + Vocal Showcase (4/7) - $400
The First Act KC Vocal Studio is excited to offer an opportunity for students to take private voice lessons with one of our highly trained instructors! Each student will take private lessons over a 14-week semester, with a total of 6 hours of private vocal instruction, that may be broken down into 30 or 60-minute sessions. In addition, these students will meet 4 times for 90-minutes at the First Act Studios to have “Studio Hour.” In this time, each student will have the opportunity to perform a lesson piece for the combined studio. After their “Studio Hour” performance, each student will receive feedback and constructive criticism from an instructor other than their normally assigned instructor. This time will allow learning from each other as a group and from multiple instructors. At the end of the semester, each student will perform one of their lesson pieces in a recital.
This class is highly recommended for ages 12-18. If students are just beginning their vocal journey, we highly recommend they take one of trimester season vocal or musical theatre classes.
Vocal Recital will be on April 7th at 4:00 PM. Call Time is 3:00 PM. Location is TBD.
Note: First Act Credits CANNOT be used on Private Studio Classes.
Pre-Professional Training Track
At First Act Theatre Arts we acknowledge that some students are seeking performing arts training with the mindset that this will be a career path for them. Gearing up for the competitive college audition process and the world of professional performing arts takes a lot of preparation and training during the high school years. In an effort to better serve those students we have created a few training guides to help you select your courses each session. If you have any question about the training guides or wish to speak further with a professional please email Education Director Michelle Evans.
